Lovely little find

Part of this walk is along road and has a bit of litter, but when you get up into the moors and forest it is really beautiful. The reservoir is really pretty too.

The Waskerley Way Railway Path is 9.7 miles long and is on hard standing surface making it ideal for walking, cycling and those in wheelchairs. The route takes you through a variety of landscapes from the heather moorland of Park Head to the outside of Consett. You will pass a variety of industrial structures such as Hownsgill Viaduct. Walk can be split up as there are several car parks along the route, at Park Head, Waskerley Station, Rowley Station or Lydgetts Junction. A cracking route for all to enjoy.
